Try of the Month 2017/2018

Semesa Rokoduguni

v Saracens (H) on the 9th - with four minutes to play up stepped Roko, weaving his magical way through the Saracens defence, evading the clutches of four diving tackles before crossing the whitewash to put Bath back in the lead.

Zach Mercer

v Benetton (H) on the 14th -  Following  some excellent attacking work by Roko and Chris Cooke Zach powered towards the line leaving the Benetton players in his wake to run in a try just before halftime

Freddie Burns

v Leicester (H - AWC) on the 10th - from a breakdown close to the Tigers line the ball was passed back to Freddie. He performed an inspired little chip over the defence to run through, gather the ball himself and score

Anthony Watson

v Toulon (H) on the 16th - receiving the ball in the middle of the field, he worked his way left on the outside biding his time before stepping on the gas to accelerate past 3 stranded Toulon players to score his 2nd try of the game.

James Phillips

v Worcester (A) on the 5th - Pure power!  James broke through a wall of defenders and then charged to the line bowling over a hapless Pennell to secure his first try for Bath and our bonus point

Zach Mercer

v Sale (H) on the 24th - following a period of sustained pressure BenTapuai off loaded to the ever present Zach who stepped inside, sending the defender the wrong way, before crossing the line for his second try of the game.

Matt Banahan

v Exeter (H) on the 23th - a lovely cross field kick from Freddie Burns found Matt on the right wing; without breaking stride he gathered the ball on the bounce and ran it over the line for a try.

Tom Homer

v Gloucester (A) on the 28th - receiving the ball deep in his own half, Tom spotted a gap and sprinted through it past five Gloucester defenders. Showing strength, pace and determination he beat the last defender to score a spectacular individual try.

Matt Banahan

v London Irish (H) on the 5th - from an attacking scrum Kahn floated a ball into the path of the charging Banas and not even 3 Irish defenders could stop him crashing over for his first try.
