It's good to hear from supporters of other clubs that the excellent service provided by Bath Rugby's Ticket Office staff is appreciated. Here's a story with a happy ending from a Saints supporter who - eventually - attended last Friday's Northampton game. It was posted by 'St Marlowe' on the Bath Fans' website 'Come on my lovers'.
"I bought 2 tickets online for Bath. When they arrived I pinned them on the Notice Board. Before I left home, I put them in my wallet and, in the Boater, I gave my mate Mitch his ticket. But when we got to the gate we discovered the tickets were for the Bath v Wasps match. D'oh !
"We hurried to the Ticket office where I tried to buy 2 more. The guy in charge told the lady handling the problem to give us 2 'complimentaries', but to make sure that we would be surrounded by Bath diehards. She gave us 2 tickets in the Bath Staff area where we had terrific seats, lots of room and GREAT banter with the very knowledgeable natives !!
Thanks Bath - You didn't need to do it but what a great gesture !"
Supporters' Club committee members will be at the Rec tonight to process membership renewals and new applications before the Northampton Saints game. You can find us in our normal location in front of the Clubhouse, between 18.15 and 19.15 - please come as early as possible. We cannot process lots of late arrivals as we need to pack away the desk and get to our own seats before kick-off - just like you !
To speed things up for you and us, please complete a membership form before you get to the desk. Forms can be found on the Membership page - click on the link in the 'How to Join' section. Alternatively, if you are a Season Ticket Holder, you can bring along the membership form that was sent out by Bath Rugby with your season ticket. We take cash or a cheque at the desk. Forms will also be available at the desk - but please allow time for completion.
If you haven't already, come and join 'Your Club' at the Rec tonight!
Following the recent announcement by Kelvin Brunton (winner of this year’s Mowbray Woodwards Award at our successful Awards Supper) that he wishes to step down from his long-standing and much-appreciated role as ‘Allez-Bath’ webmaster, we are now urgently looking for someone else to take up the reins.
We have been informed that their planned weekend trip to Bucharest for Bath's Amlin Cup Pool 4 tie against Bucharest Wolves in Romania on Saturday 13 October is no longer going ahead and that "the cancellation is due to lack of numbers".
Mike & Jan would like to apologise to those intending to travel who had already registered their interest in the trip.
Bookings are still being taken for the Agen and Calvisano weekend trips.
You can now find Jim Wain's pictures of the Awards Supper in the Picture Gallery. They are also on our Facebook page - just look for Bath Rugby Supporters' Club.
Some important information for Season Ticket Holders about the new Access Control Ticket System has been posted on bathrugby.com - the Club's official website. A list of 'frequently asked questions' and answers is also included in the news item. See link: www.bathrugby.com/news/club-news/season-ticket-information

Most of the members who attempted the Anagram Quiz managed to work out the names of the players, but several were stumped by the 'Tie Breaker' dates of when pairs of Bath players made their International debuts. Here are the answers:

The Committee has decided that we will start manning our desk at the London Welsh pre-season friendly on Saturday 11th August, as the first 'proper' Bath fixture. For the time being we will be in our usual location in front of the Clubhouse but, in conjunction with Bath Rugby, we are seeking an improved and higher-profile location to move to for the rest of the season.
There is no Bath Rugby programme for the JP Morgan 7s. It is a Premier Rugby Ltd event, and they produced the programmes for the Pool rounds (as we saw at Gloucester) and are doing so again for the Finals at the Rec tonight. Bath Rugby confirmed at our Committee meeting on Tuesday night that the Club has no control over either the programme content or the use of the Big Screen on the night - so there is no advertising opportunity for BRSC or Coach Travel at the Premiership 7s Finals.
Details of the Supporters Coach Travel trip to the Ospreys pre-season friendly at Swansea on Saturday 18 August have been sent to the Chronicle to be published as a 'Supporters' Corner' item for the next three editions - although they haven't started their usual in-depth rugby coverage yet.
