The Xmas Quiz is back in the Clubhouse!
Although Bath Rugby had kindly provided us with the Clubhouse when we first enquired, we offered to move to the Illustrious Suite when they subsequently received a booking that only fitted into the Clubhouse. This other booking has now moved to another date - so we are back in the Clubhouse.
Tickets are still available for this long running event - see Social Diary page for all the details. (posted 29/11/12)
On Saturday, the Clubhouse will be open from 12 noon for:
6X, Thatchers, and Fosters will be £3 per pint.

On Tuesday 20 November, former international referee and now the RFU’s Professional Referee Development Manager, Tony Spreadbury, entertained sixtyBathsupporters with a virtuoso review of the new IRB Law amendments currently being trialled in the Aviva Premiership.
As ever, ‘Spreaders’ enthusiastic presentation of some quite technical points ensured that everyone present now enjoys a much-improved understanding of what referees are now attempting to do in officiating the ‘game designed for hooligans, played by gentlemen’.
Tony also examined the expanded role of the Television Match Official this season, and convinced the audience that no matter how many camera angles are available it is still not always possible to see clearly what has happened to the ball !
The Supporters’ Club are very grateful to BRSC Honorary Member Tony for his time and for sharing his experiences and insight into refereeing. (posted 28/11/12)

Back by popular demand after last season’s highly successful event, Bath’s own former International Referee, Tony Spreadbury, will keep you on the edge of your seat with his report on how the new Law changes and initiatives being trialled this season are working out so far.
This is your chance to ask Tony - as the RFU’s Professional Referee Development Manager and BRSC Honorary Member - those questions that you normally just shout at referees from the stands or terraces.
He will be happy to answer questions from the floor as usual – but be prepared to volunteer to ‘act’ as a player to demonstrate Spreaders’ points about interpretation of the laws !
The Rec Clubhouse Bar will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, and admission is free for BRSC Members and just £3 for Non-Members.
Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
To book your seat e-mail your name and membership number (if applicable) to allez-bath@hotmail.co.uk, phone Tom Sutton on 01225 448712 or 07703 439175, or come to the BRSC desk in front of the Clubhouse before the Dragons LV= Cup game on Saturday 10 November. (posted on 06/11/12)
BRSC Quizmaster Dave Stock will again host our popular annual Quiz Night in the Clubhouse, and this year we will also challenge the players to enter their own team in opposition to the supporters.

All members of BRSC who have joined or renewed from the start of this season up until kick-off at the Saracens home game on 22nd December will be entered into a draw for two prizes kindly supplied by Bath Rugby:
a hospitality package for 2 people for the home Amlin Challenge Cup game versus Agen on January 10/11/12/13 2013, and a similar hospitality package for 2 people for the final Amlin pool match at the Rec againstBuchareston January 17/18/19/20 2013.
Members of the BRSC committee and their partners will be excluded from the draw, which will take place on the pitch at half-time during the Saracens game on 22nd December – hopefully drawn by a member of the playing squad. The names of the winners will also be posted on 'Allez-Bath'. (posted on 06/11/12)
There are still spaces available on the coach to the Quins game on Friday 16 November.
Message from Jan & Mike Warrington:
"Due to this game being on a Friday evening we are having difficulty in filling our usual sized coach. We also have to pay a large fee to cover the emission charge when we cross the M25. We have however managed to secure a smaller coach and we are now looking for 25 supporters to make some noise! At present the cost is £19 BRSC member/£20 non-member. Should we get nearer the number of supporters required then the cost could be reduced. Coach departs Great Pulteney Street at 15.45 / Lambridge at 16.00"
Interested? then please ring Jan/Mike 01380 871416 or email: janmike@warrington123.freeserve.co.uk
